The Challenge
Someone looking for a therapist is often having a hard week. The site had to feel like the practice itself — warm, unhurried, safe — while still competing in local search, where therapy directories and listicles dominate the results.
The Solution
Every design decision optimises for calm: a soft oat ground, muted matcha and lilac accents with terracotta highlights, custom display faces that feel hand-set rather than corporate, and 0.6-second transitions that never startle.
The content architecture works as hard as the design: dedicated pages for each concern (anxiety, bereavement, relationships) and each location served, plus an editorial blog — the structure that gets an independent practitioner found without an ads budget.
Key Features
Enquiries flow through Formspree with a gentle confirmation state — no CRM complexity for a sole practitioner. An FAQ answers the questions people are nervous to ask.
A lightweight admin interface lets the practice update content directly, keeping the site current without a retainer.
