The Challenge
Nightlife runs on guest lists, DMs and door cash — fine for one promoter, hopeless at scale. RavePass needed real financial infrastructure: prepaid credits that expire, bookings that reconcile, doors that verify, and promoter payouts that don't involve anyone's spreadsheet.
The Solution
The core is an append-only credit ledger — balances are never mutated, only derived — which makes every member's history auditable and every dispute resolvable. Credits arrive with subscriptions, expire on schedule via background jobs, and spend against real-time event availability.
Members discover events, book with credits, and present a QR pass that door staff verify through a dedicated scan interface. Admin dashboards manage events, promoters and members, with Stripe Connect routing each promoter's share automatically.
Key Features
Clerk handles authentication with an 18+ age gate enforced on every booking path; Supabase row-level security keeps each member's data theirs.
Subscriptions, top-ups and payouts all run through Stripe with webhook-driven state — the platform handles money like a fintech, because at the door it is one.
