The Gallery 45
A contemporary art gallery site the staff can run themselves.
The Challenge
Galleries change their content constantly — new exhibitions, new works, new press — but rarely have technical staff. The Gallery 45 needed a site with proper editorial polish that the gallery director could update from a browser, including artwork inquiries routed straight to email.
The Solution
The design keeps out of the art's way: white ground, ink-black type in Space Grotesk, a single bright yellow accent, ruled section breaks. Artists and works flow through masonry grids that handle any canvas ratio; exhibitions live on a dotted timeline that doubles as the gallery's archive.
Underneath, Keystatic CMS gives the team a visual editor for every content type — artists, works, exhibitions, catalogues, news — with changes committing straight to the repository and deploying automatically.
Key Features
A command-menu search (⌘K) jumps visitors to any artist or work instantly. Open Graph images generate automatically per page, so every artwork shared on social media arrives with its own card.
Artwork inquiry forms deliver to the gallery inbox via Resend, with the artwork reference attached — turning the website into a quiet sales channel.
